This Week on the Island 10/01/2023
‘This Week on
the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about
happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts
that are lies.
The Weather: It is Key West; we are in a tropical
zone. Rain in the summer and no rain in the winter. BUT wait, look at Sunday
night. The temperature is finally going to drop below 80 degrees.
Move over, 1998

Which matters not a whit for global temperatures, but it's worth reading the
story below before the spin machine gears up.
"1934, not 1998, the hottest year on record, NASA
confirms," from Greenwire
Illya Kuryakin, from The Man from UNCLE, dead at 90. Most will remember him as Ducky, from NCIS. David McCallum.
French ship Germinal (F735) at the Truman Waterfront today
Truman waterfront Park, 1PM, Monday 90 degrees. Walking the dogs.
Happy Daughters Day to Teeki
