Weather: Another beautiful week. We had a cold front come thru the first of the week and it dropped the temperature and the humidity. Lots of blue skies.

This week I read ‘Leather Maiden’ by Joe E. Lansdale.

‘Long Live The Conch Republic’. The 30 Year celebration was this week.
On April 23, 1982, Key West seceded from the Union when the United States Government used the Border Patrol to block US1 where it leaves the mainland and enters the Keys.

The ‘New’ Conch Republic Flag. I posted the ‘Old’ last week.

The Conch Cruiser Car Show was last Sunday on Lazy Lane behind Schooner.

The reenactment of the Seceding from the Union was held on Monday on Wall Street.

The Great Conch Republic Parade was Thursday.

The Bed Races were held Saturday on Duval Street.

Saturday night was the Pirates Ball at Schooner Warf Bar.

Lots of other events were available but I did not attend them.
