This Week on the Island 05/24/2015

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather: Another beautiful week.

This week I read ’Baja Florida’ by Bob Morris.

West Marine closed some time ago and moved up Caroline St about 2 blocks. The old store has now been gutted and will be renovated into a restaurant and a gym and some other store.

Starbucks is ready to open on the corner of Duval and Front Street.

Burger-Fi has closed, it was on Duval across from Coyote Ugly.

The Coast Guard cutter Eagle is at Malory Square.
