This Week on the Island 03/29/2015

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather: Beautiful. In the low 80’s with lots of sun. Same as last week. Life is good.

This week I continued ‘Killing Kelly’ by Heather Graham.

Let’s take a little trip thru the Key West Cemetery. Click the picture twice to make it large enough to read. Lots of info here.

The gates to our little cemetery are on the highest piece of land in Key West.

Lots of graves are above ground.

But it is a beautiful place to leave your old worn out body.

We have graves that are so old I don’t think anyone knows who is buried there.

Even in death we can’t get along. We have the Catholic Section.

We have the Jewish Section.

We have the ‘Remember the Maine’ Section

We even have a section for some Cuban Patriots from the 1868 Cuban Revolution.

And last but not least we have “I Told You I Was Sick”.
