This Week on the Island 07/10/2016
‘This Week on the Island’ is
written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key
West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
Weather:
Forcast for next 5 months: Hot and humid with a chance for showers.
This
week I read ‘Sleeping Dogs Lie’ by Rodney Riesel.
July 4th
and this young lady was dressed the part. She is sitting on the stage at
Schooner petting Cinderella, Michael McCloud’s dog.
Jo’s
bike broke and Bone Island Welding picked it up, fixed it, and brought it back.
Did a great job. Nice people.
Carolina
Street is finished being rebuilt, paved and open for traffic.
We now
can park the cars in front of the house.
I spent some time at Schooner listening to Michael McCloud,
I went to the V.A. Clinic here in Key West to have a video chat with a doctor in Miami VA about my ankle. I have another appointment to go see them in August. Old injuries are starting to act up.

Keyviche
has closed. It was on Caroline Street near the Bull and Whistle.
We leave
you this week looking down Williams Street back at rainbow over B. O.’s Fish
Wagon.
Key West
you have got to love it
