This Week on the Island 07/17/2022

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather: Same as last week - HOT, HOT, HOT!

This time of the year we have ‘sex on the reef’. The coral of the reef release gametes. It is fluorescent and glows in the moonlight.

We also have music on the reef

We are about ready for Lobsterfest. Where else can you sit on the street curb in 90-degree weather and eat lobster and drink beer.

And next will be Hemingway Days in August. A bunch of old fat men, wearing sweaters in this Key West August heat.
