This Week on the Island 01/23/2022

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather: It is supposed to be cold here by Sunday night (58 degrees). It is even colder up north in Miami.

But as for now, we have about a foot of sunshine.

People ask if Key West is the Key that is most west. Well, here is Garden Key and it is west of Key West. Pic from The Key West Citizen.

Friday was beautiful and 78 degrees so Teeki and I went to Fort Zack State Park. Someone had been stacking rocks.

And the Glass Bottom Boat went by.

On one of our early morning walks looking out toward Sunset Key and the moon shining on the water. (We walk in the morning, ride the trike around town after lunch, and go to the dog park in the afternoon).

I see a lot of old guys my age wearing the ‘Nam boonie hats.

I still like my straw hat with the South Carolina hat band.

We leave you with ‘Easy like Sunday morning’.
