This Week on the Island 06/12/2022

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather

After the storm last weekend, we had some cleaning up to do. Lots of seaweed everywhere. I heard people complaining about the smell. Well, that comes with seaweed.

Also, this helps our weather. Dust from the Sahara in North Africa is in our air. Not only does this cause beautiful sunsets, but the dust keeps hurricanes from forming.

D-Day - June 6, 1944; V-E Day - May 8, 1945, the Nazi’s surrendered. (Remember, ‘less than 1 year to whip their butts’.

We leave you with ‘Easy like Sunday morning’. Pic from Cindy Booker.
