written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key

Weather:
It’s August. It’s hot and humid. Nothing more needs to be said.
This
week I am still reading ‘The True Sea’ by F. W. Belland.
We started this week with the celebration
of Captain Tony’s birthday. He would have been 98.
Of course this week was the Supermoon. We
had lots of high tides and flooded streets.
Lauren Bacall died this week.
Robbin Williams also died this week
North Roosevelt has had its official
opening and its first wreak was on Wednesday.
This is a Cuban chug that came ashore this
week with 25 Cubans aboard. There may be a lot wrong with this country, but
there are people that risk their life just to get here. This boat is a lot
better than most that arrive here. Some are 50 gallon drums, styrofoam and a
sail. Some are empty when they get here. There is 90 miles of shark filled
water between here and Cuba.
Koda, my black and white husky, escaped
this week. We found her and she is safe at home.
Key West you have got to love it
