This Week on the Island 08/21/2016
‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update
to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except
for those parts that are lies.
Weather:
Forcast for next 3 months: Hot and humid with a chance for showers. Maybe a
Hurricane or two.
The book
this week was ‘The Man in Room Number Four’ by Rodney Riesel.
My VA
Doctor has taken me off the 81 milligram aspirin and put me on Tylenol. So Saturday morning I jumped on my trike and went down to CVS on the corner of Front and Duval.
I rode
pass the Bull and Whistle where they are rebuilding the deck
Then it
was on to the Truman Waterfront where the entrance has really changed.
No
cruise ships in today.
Rode on
around to Fort Zack and stopped to smell the horses at the stables where the
police keep theirs.
Saw this
Iguana crossing the Ft. Zack parking lot.
Shrimp
boat passing in the ships channel
On thru
Bahama Village and Spanish limes laying all over the ground.
Went by
Blue Heaven
And the
Moose Lodge (cooking bar-b-que)
The end
of Simonton Street looking out over the Atlantic.
We leave
you with, this cloud has a silver lining.
Key West
you have got to love it
