This Week on the Island 12/03/2017
‘This Week on the Island’ is
written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key
West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The
Weather: Same as last week. Beautiful. Sunny, white clouds and blue skies. High in the high 70’s, low in the low 70’s.
The book
this week was ‘The Christmas Box’ by Richard Paul Evans. It is a short book and
was given to me by Sharon Lazar. What she doesn’t know is that she also gave
the encouragement to start reading again. I was reading a book the last of
August, but Hurricane Irma was coming and I needed to get the house ready. Then
there was the knee replacement surgery and the Physical Therapy afterwards.
Then there was a trip to the hospital for Jo to have here heart checked.
(everything was OK with her heart). Now may be a good time to get back to that
book from August.
November
30th was the end of Hurricane Season and the burning of the
Hurricane Flag.
Saturday
night was the Key West Christmas Parade. This town has a great little parade,
lots of candy and beads and dog treats. Teeki had a great time.
The parade started, a woman runs across the street to Margaritavill and fall on her face in the street in front of the cops.
