‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather: This has been one beautiful week. Check out the blue skies and white clouds in the pictures.

This week was Meeting of the Minds (MOTM). A gathering of Parrot Heads in Key West to celebrate Jimmy Buffett and his music. There were Parrot Heads everywhere.

They even took over Duval Street at Margaritaville on Friday.

But some of the locals could care less.

On a personal note: I would like to thank those folks that were in town and bought or offered to buy me an adult beverage. 
Next week is off shore power boat racing.
