This Week on the Island 08/23/2020

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather: The predictions for this storm keeps swapping the path it will take. Now the path is west of Cuba and we may get a bit of rain.

We weren’t too concerned. We have been here almost 20 years and haven’t left yet for a hurricane but that one 3 years ago (Irma) missed us by 17 miles.

This is a light pillar and I have seen them posted on Facebook lately.

Buffett’s studio is covered to be gassed the termites.

Pepe’s is closed and they have gone fishing until Sept 1.

Jo’s Tortuga, Tortou, drops by from time to time to get a back rub. He is 3 years old.

On a corner back in Bahama Village, someone has started a ‘little pantry’ where people in need can stop buy to pick up some stuff for free. Or drop some stuff off.

We leave you this week with this.
