‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather:  Still Hot and Humid.

We started this week with Columbus Day.

The house next door has been raised almost 6 feet.

The dog park we have been using for years has been closed. We have moved to the dog park over near White Street Pier. A new dog park will open at the Truman Waterfront in November.
