This Week on the Island 01/31/2016

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
Weather: Cold and raining most of the week. Sunny and near 70 on the week end.
My health. December 1st I had an appointment at the VA in Miami. My blood pressure was 195/105. It has been 110/70 for years. This is BAD
A week later my right foot and right had are numb and I am dizzy so I went to the hospital. They put me on 14 days of medicine to help with ‘numbness in the extremities’.
Then it was a trip to my doctor at the local VA. He put me on some Calcium Blockers pills for the rest of my life. He only gave me a 90 day supply?
Then it was back to the VA in Miami for ‘blood flow analyses. No problem was found.
Conclusion: Blood pressure now under control, but I have to take 2 pills a day for the rest of my life, which apparently is 90 days since that is all the doctor gave me.
On the home front.
