This Week on the Island 01/29/2017

  ‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather:  Same as last week. Lots of sunshine, blue skies and white clouds. Temperature in the high 70’s and low 80’s. People everywhere. I guess they are tired of the cold.

The book this week was ‘Right as wrong can be’ by Michael Haskins. This is his 11^th book I have read.

Took Teeki for a ride in the Teeki Kart. We started taking pictures at Lazy Way Lane. The white building on the left is ‘Shrimp Boat Sounds’, Jimmy Buffet’s recording studio.

We went up Lazy Way to the back door of Schooner Wharf Bar.

Then over Williams Street to the Waterfront Brewery.

And a little further past Cuban Coffee Queen.

Then it was Margaret Street and Lands’ End with Half Shell Raw Bar

And Turtle Kraals

And the building that held the first Margaretville.

Then it was up the street to The Key West Bight Ferry Terminal.

And Danta's with lots of people by the pool

We leave you this week with the orchids in our back yard.
