This Week on the Island 11/04/2012
‘This week on the Island' is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather: An absolutely wonderful week. The high 60’s at night and the high 70’s in the day. Lots of sun and very little humidity.
The book this week was ‘Pirate Hunter’ by Tom Morrisey. The book was given to me by one of the ‘This Week on the Island’ readers. He passed it to me a Schooner. The story is in 2 parts; one about a modern day search for ship wreaks working out of Key West, the other about the lives of original people that were on the ship when it went down. It swaps from chapter to chapter. I really enjoyed this one.
Duval Street Band
This week the Parrot Heads, Jimmy Buffett fans, were in town. As usually the main nest for the Parrot Heads was the Casa Marina. There were lots of parties by many different clubs at lots of locations around town. There was a great Duval Street party on Friday in front of Margaritaville and the main event on the beach at the Casa on Saturday.
Parrot Heads on Duval
Parrot Heads at Conch Republic Seafood
Parrot Heads at Schooner
Jet Ski on the Atlantic going by White Street Pier.
Sunrise Saturday morning.

I would like to thank the folks that came by the house to drop of the home made goodies.
Key West, You have got to love it
