This Week on the Island 08/01/2021

 

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather: It is hot and humid and will remain this way until November.

Last Week ended with Hemingway Days.

That was followed by ‘mini-lobster season’. Two days where each person can get 6 lobsters. Each must be a certain size and must remain whole until back on land and measured. Our lobster do not have claws.

And of course, there was a race.

But life goes on. This is a Key Deer and fawn.

But the bass player for ZZ Top is no longer with us.

Bob came to visit.
