'This week on the Island' is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather: Beautiful, For those of you at MOTM you can thank the Southernmost Parrot Head Club for the weather.

We had 3,500 of our closest friends in town this week. It was MOTM (Meeting of the Minds), the gathering of Parrot Heads (Jimmy Buffett Fans) from around the world. There were many activities all around the island with most 'official activities' happening at The Reach Hotel. I enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting many new people.

Thank you to each of you that introduced yourself and told me about how much you enjoyed 'This Week on the Island'.
