This Week on the Island 07/06/2014

‘This week on the Island' is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather: Summer is here. The weather for the next 4 months will be hot and humid with a chance for rain.

This week I finished reading ‘Dead Eyes’ by Stuart Woods.

We will start this week with the ‘Life is Short, bus’ here in Key West. Note the chicken on the top of the bus, front and back. Life is short and you need to enjoy it.

Or maybe a picture of ‘The World’s Largest Key Lime Pie’ from Rob O’Neal’s Facebook post on July 4th.

And of course there was the July 4^th fireworks at White Street Pier, thanks to Rob O’Neal’s Facebook post. Sure you had fireworks, but were they thru the palm trees.
