This Week on the Island 11/15/2015

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
Weather:  Beautiful, mid 80’s, lots of blue skies and white clouds. Same as last week. There are report that it may get below 80 some night next week.
This week I finished ‘Tropical Quest’ by Wesley Sizemore.
This week was Memorial Day with the dedication of the Vietnam Wall at Bayview Park, the Veterans Day Parade, and the concert at Bayview Park by Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 Band.

This week was also Off Shore Power Boat Racing. The racing was between Mallory Square and Sunset Key.
A new place has opened next to ‘Ripley’s Believe It or Not’ called ‘Rock Lives On’.
Koda watching me as I work on this week’s blog.
What a great place to live my retirement years.

Key West you have got to love it
