This Week on the Island 06/03/2018
‘This Week on the Island’ is
written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key
West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The
Weather: Hot and humid. Welcome to Key West for the next 6 months.
Last
week the Minimal Regatta was cancelled because of the tropical depreciation
that was soaking the Keys. It was rescheduled for Sunday the 3rd of
June.
You and
your team must build a boat out of 1 thin sheet of plywood, a package of
screws, two 2x4’s and a roll of duct tape. You can paint, but you cannot caulk. The race is run in
the bight outside Schooner Wharf Bar.
We leave you this week with a film of the 18th annual Regatta.
