This Week on the Island 07/28/2019

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather: Probably cooler here than where you are.

The book this week was:

Sunday, we had a new ship in the harbor,

by Wednesday we had 2 of them.

Teeki begging for treats at Ace Hardware.

Last week was Hemingway days. Running of the bulls.

And the winner of the 'Look-A-Like' contest.

 

This week was mini-lobster (2day event) our lobster doesn’t have claws. We call them bugs.

A house a few doors down Caroline Street has been raised to rebuild the footings.

The new British Prime Minister looks a lot like Smirk from the Green Parrot.

Last but not least, Kino Sandals got recognition from the White House.
