‘This week on the Island' is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather: Just beautiful. Lots of sunshine, high in the low 80’s. One bad storm.

No book this week.

Spring Break and lots of beautiful young people being just as stupid as I was at that age.

South Beach on the Atlantic side of Duval.

Smathers beach is out near the airport on South Roosevelt and is also A1A.

This is 10 motorized beer coolers that stopped in front of the house on Caroline Street.

There was also an old Square rigger in town.

Good Morning America came to visit

And a really bad storm blew into town
