This Week on the Island 11/24/2013

‘This week on the Island' is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather: Beautiful all week.
This week I started ‘Tropical Freeze’ by James W. Hall.
The Spanish named the place Florida because of all the flowers.
Flower on the piano

Flower out the back door

Yellow rose out the front door

Hibiscus out the front door

Bougainville out the front door

Birds of paradise at Cuban Coffee Queen

Flowers at the corner of Elizabeth and Eaton.

Flowers on the way to the library

Flowers at the graveyard.

We had a strange smell in the house that smelled like cat urine. It ended up being a guava fruit I had picked up on one of our dog walks. It has been thrown out. It is about the same size as a lime.

Key West you have got to love it
