This Week on the Island 01/31/2021

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather:  Beautiful.

This Week I finished.

And started.

Monday, Jan 25, we drove north about 200 miles to Miami to the V.A. Hospital to get my first Corvid-19 shot. I wanted it on my Military Record.

Jan 25 was also the date that I joined the U.S. Air Force back in 1965.

Douglas is still running on the streets of Key West.

Teeki and I spend some time at The Truman Waterfront Park.

This week the kids were playing.

This was a submarine training base in WWII. It was closed in 1974 and the city has made us a nice park.

We leave you with Easy Like Sunday Morning.

Key West,

Close to Perfect, Far from Normal’
