This Week on the Island 12/07/2014
‘This
Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends
about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those
parts that are lies.
Weather:
Wonderful. In the 70’s, no humidity, blue skies, lots of sun.
Today is
Dec 7, ‘Remember Pearl Harbor’.
Speaking
of the harbor, Thursday night the Christmas Lights around the bight were turned
on.
There be
pirates here at Fort Zack. I like the contrast in the last picture. Old, Old times pirates. Old Civil War Fort, and modern cruise ships in the background. The one on the right is Disney.
A Cuban
chug came ashore on Friday at Fort Zack beach. We now have 7 new citizens.
Greg and some friends were
in from out of town this week and we had a great time.
The Key
West Christmas parade was Saturday night.
We will
celebrate Kodas 5th birthday at Schooner on Sunday. She will have her staples
removed on Monday.
Key West
you have got to love it
