This Week on the Island 02/01/2015
‘This
Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends
about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those
parts that are lies.
Weather:
The cold front that moved across the country also got to Key West. The days started
in the high 50’s and only got into the low 60’s with a strong wind
out of the north. COLD by Key West standards.
This
week I read ‘The Unseen’ by Heather Graham.
It being
the middle of winter and so many people being snowed in and cold, I thought it
would be a good time to show some of our flowers in bloom.
The
hibiscus growing thru the front fence.
The
yellow rose at the front door.
The
bougainvillea at the front of the house.
The
orchid at the side door.
Some kind
of flower next door.
Saturday
the Key West Polar Bear Club met at Higgs Beach. It was in the mid 70’s and so
was the water. A tuff bunch of people.
