‘This week on the Island' is
written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key
West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather:
It is 5:30 PM and 76 degrees and tomorrow is December. I love living here.
This
week I finished ‘Tropical Freeze’ by James W. Hall and started ‘Body Language’.
We
live on an island. It is 2 miles by 4 miles and runs east to west. North of the
island is the Gulf of Mexico. South of the island is the Straits of Florida and
the Atlantic Ocean. Havana is 90 miles south and the closest Walmart, Target,
Needless-Markup is 150 miles north toward Miami.

Saturday
I needed to get some pictures for my blog. I got on Jo’s trike and got about 3
block when it quit. Battery problem. I got it home and got on my trike and took
off. I got a couple miles from the house and the red light (low battery) came
on. I got it home and took Boca for a walk. We got to Mallory Square and I went
to take a picture and the camera/phone flashed, low battery. These are mostly
old pictures I am re-using. Wasn’t my day for batteries.
Key West you have got to love it
