This Week on the Island 02/22/2014
‘This
Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends
about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those
parts that are lies.
Weather:
Cold front came thru this week and dropped the temperature to less than 50
degrees. That is cold for Key West. It was back in the 70’s by Saturday. How about something you seldom see, a glove
laying on Caroline Street.
This
week I finished ‘The Killing Edge’ by Heather Graham.
I saw in
the paper this week where Florida got almost 100 million visitors last year. I
wonder how they counted them. Anyway, Key West got its share. There are people
everywhere.
A line
of people trying to order at B.O.’s Fish Wagon.
The
Schooners Western Union and Appledore in the bight next to Schooner wharf Bar.
Check out the sunshine and blue skies and beautiful water.
Here is
another look at the bight and the blue skies, sunshine, water and boats.
How
about Koda taking a walk-a-bout in the Gulf of Mexico at the end of Simonton
Street. Notice how clear the water is.
Lots of
people were at the street fair on Whitehead Street.
We end
with another Key West sunset, thanks to Howard Livingston’s Facebook page
Key West
you have got to love it
