This Week on the Island 04/03/2016

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
Weather: Beautiful all week.
The book this week was ‘Key West Daze’ by Elizabeth Hilleren.
El Galleon Andalucia was at Mallory Square.

And she sailed out into the sunset. This picture from Amanda Reid.
The Blue Angles made a pass down Duval Street this week. Picture thanks to Rob O’Neal.
On one of my trike rides was across the island to the White Street Pier and the African Cemetery. Read the info sign.
Coyote Ugly seems to have left town or at least their sign is gone.
The Clydesdales were in town Friday.
Jo and I went on a trike ride Saturday with a bunch of people and Commissioner Clayton Lopes.
Saturday night was Howard Livingston down at the Truman Waterfront for Ocean Fest 2016.
Huey Lewis and The News played Saturday night at Keys Stock.
Tom Oosterhouse has left the island. He will be missed.

Scott has also left the island. I will miss him. He was a friend.

Key West you have got to love it
