This Week on the Island 03/24/2019

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The Weather: A little chilly this week
The Spring Break has slowed down. The Florida Schools have finished spring break so the large crowds are over. Easter is toward the end of April so this year we will have 8 weeks of Spring Breakers.
What I thought was Navy Seal training at the Truman Waterfront continued this week. It is dolphin training not SEAL training. They are working with the dolphins on retrieval of objects off the ocean floor.

Teeki and I spend a bit of time at the dog park. So here is the sunrise over the dog park one day last week.

A replica of the Santa Maria, Columbus flagship, is at Mallory Square.

My nephew, Jonathan, and his wife, Helena, were visiting for a few days this week. I think they had a good time.
