This Week on the Island 10/18/2020

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather: Nice. In the low 80’s at night and the high 80’s in the day.

I feel for the people around Lake Charles, Louisiana. Hurricane Delta didn’t come anywhere near Key West, but the Atlantic Ocean was a bit upset. Water washing up over the wall at the Southernmost Point.

Water crashing into White Street Pier.

This picture because I think the hole in the rock in Utah, looks a bit like South Carolina, my home state.

The sun setting on the 7-mile bridge. The old bridge is on the right, the new bridge on the left. US#1 mile marker 40 – 47.

Sunset at the dog park on Trumbo Road

Jo went to give blood for here physical. This is the view from the parking lot. Looking out over US#1, North Roosevelt, toward the Gulf of Mexico.

Halloween decorations are going up. This house is on Duval Street.

Teeki and I have the tricycle up to 1,500 miles on the odometer.

We leave you with ‘Easy like Sunday morning’. This photo if taken from Louis Back Yard by Sally Shipley.
