This Week on the Island 12/18/2016

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
Weather: Beautiful all week with the highs in the high 70’s and low 80’s. Blue skies and white clouds. Still running the A/ C.
The Lighted Boat Parade was cancelled last week and reschedule for Wednesday. Lots of boats sailed and motored by as we watched from the boardwalk on the bight.
Teeki and I did some riding around the island on my trike.
This is Teeki at the beach at the end of Simonton Street on the Gulf side of the island. I don't think she had ever seen the ocean, but she enjoyed the sea weed.
We also checked out the new entrance to Fort Zack State Park. Hope they will open the road soon as it will be nicer that what we have now.
Ran into Allen as he was walking down Lazy Way Lane.
We leave you this week with a picture the old Gallery Lounge that would later become The Bull and Whistle.
I have a new dance partner for 'Schooner Wharf Bar Dog'. Hope to have pictures next week.

Key West you have got to love it
