This Week on the Island 07/03/2016
‘This Week on the Island’ is
written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key
West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
Weather:
Forcast for next 5 months: Hot and humid with a chance for showers.
This
week I started reading ‘Caribbean Gold, the Treasure of Margarita’ by Michael
Reisig.
On one
of my many trike rides around the island I went to check on a new beach. If you
leave the Casa Marina and head toward Louis Backyard, there is a little corner
park. In the corner, on the Atlantic Ocean, where the wall for the Casa Marina
meets the wall for the little park a beach is growing. It is small, but so were
we all at one time.
Rainbow
over B.O.’s Fishwagon.
Jo’s
tricycle has been acting ‘funny’. We found that the large bent bar that
connects the front wheel to the seat and basket in the rear, is becoming
disconnected. I need to find a welder.
July 2
was our 45th Anniversary. It was raining, we got really wet. Check out her hat in the second picture.
This
week end the island is packed for July 4th. People everywhere.
Key West
you have got to love it
