This Week on the Island 12/20/2015

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather: Beautiful week, BUT winter came roaring in on Friday night. The temperature dropped into the 60’s with the high for Saturday only in the low 70’s.

The book this week was ‘Tricky Twenty Two’ by Janet Evanovich.

If you follow me in Facebook then none of this will be new. I am reposting some of my Facebook pictures this week.

Koda, Boca and I went for a walk down to Whitehead Street and passed the giant Banyan Tree on our way to the Post Office.

We left the Post Office and went on down Whitehead Street to the Court House and the Kapok Tree.

On another of our walks we went up Caroline to Trumbo Point to see The Mistic which was docked next to the Key West Ferry up at the far end of the Key West Bight.

Amigos, across from Captain Tony’s appears to be closed.

When we moved to Key West we had a Jeep. I sold it to Tony at Half Buck Freddies. He still has it and it looks pretty good to be 15 years older.

We leave you this week down near Mallory Square on Saturday morning where it was cold.
