This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather

How about a little 12 mile swim.

 

 Our Parrot hurricane shutters were fading. Jo repainted them.

They have begun work on the house next door. Here in Key West you can't tear down old houses you must rebuild them. It is going to be very noisy for the next 6 months to a year.

 First get rid of all the trees.

The rainy season has started, June 1 - Dec  1. The Florida mosquitos are out.
