 ‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather: The Dry Season is coming to an end and the Wet Season is just around the corner, SO we are just like normal people with rain some days and sunny other days.

Conch Republic 10-day celebration continued this week. On April 22, 1983, Key West Seceded from the Union and became the Conch Republic.

This week was The Great Sea Battle.
