This Week on the Island 03/30/2014

‘This week on the Island' is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather: Another beautiful week, low 80’s in the day and low 70’s at night. Lots of sun.

The book this week was ‘Bone Deep’ by Randy Wayne White.

 I was a little under the weather this week and then it was Saturday and I had no pictures for the blog. So I went for a trike ride about 10:00 AM Saturday.

Up Caroline pass Pepe’s

And Harpoon Harry’s

Then pass the new Johnny Rockets on Duval (where Cheeseburgers was)

Then there is always Sloppy Joe’s

And Captain Tony’s

Mallory Square to watch Disney come to town

And over to the fair at the ECO Center at Truman Waterfront

On the way back home pass the Green Parrot

Then back home to the 96 room hotel being built across the street.

I am really tired of all the noise from the hotel, but when it get completed, the city is supposed to tear up and rebuild Caroline Street. Lots of noise for another year.

It seems that every day I run in to people that read this blog. I appreciate it when you stop me and introduce yourselves. This week it was Michigan, Wisconsin, Canada on the border with Maine, Texas, California, North Carolina and Louisiana. There may have been more. Thank you all.
