‘This week on the Island' is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather: It has been a beautiful week with lots of sun and blue skies and white clouds. The temperature has been in the low 80’s with very little humidity. It has been just perfect.
This week I completed ‘Picture Me Dead’ by Heather Graham.
I hope you have a great Mothers Day.
This week I also completed another trip around the sun. Life is good living in the Keys. I have enjoyed the trip and look forward to the next one.
Gregg, a friend from Tampa and an old helicopter pilot in ‘Nam spent some time with me this week. We had a few adult beverages with my wife at Schooner while we listened to Michael McCloud for about 4 days.
The battery charger on my trike quite working and Jo’s battery charger for her trike is not compatible. Jo’s trike headlight quite working, I got a new headlight, when I plugged it in it blew out something in her trikes electrical system. No one on the island knows how to work on these things. I have it at the electric car repair station and hope they can help.
This is the view I had for my birthday. Enjoying Schooner and Michael Mccloud.
We leave you this week with a view of the prediction for Hurricane Season which starts June 1. Michael McCloud singing ‘Hurricane Blow’.

PS
Had a lady drop by our table at Schooner to tell me that her husband always enjoyed my blog. He passed away last November and she and the kids were in town to spread his ashes. I told her I was sorry for her loss.
Key West, You have got to love it
