This Week on the Island 07/05/2015
‘This
Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends
about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those
parts that are lies.
Weather:
In the high 80’s with lots of humidity. Lots of sunshine, white clouds and blue
skies.
This
week I continued reading ’Back to Blood’ by Tom Wolfe.
Looks
like it is time to harvest the Key Limes from our tree.
This
week was Key Lime week (http://www.keylimefestival.com/).
Of course there were a few key lime pie eating contest, but how about Key Lime
rum sampling at the Rum Distillery on Simonton and Front, or Key Lime cocktails
at the Green Parrot.
July 2
was our 44the anniversary. It has been an adventure!
I hope
you had a good July 4th.
We leave
you this week back in Bahama Village looking over the fence at the old Ammo
Dumps on the Government Property.
Key West
you have got to love it
