‘This Week on
the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about
happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts
that are lies.
The Weather: Another beautiful Week.
I am having a situation with my iPhone. I can send pictures to Facebook, but I can’t mail pictures to myself, which is how I move pictures from my iPhone to my computer to use the pics on my blog. SO, we are short of pictures for the blog.
The ‘Drag Races on Duval’ were part of last weeks ‘Conch Republic Days’. Our ‘Drag Races’, give the Drag Queens a chance to show off their skills.
Tuesday was the anniversary of the 10-week war with Spain (1898). We won.
Thursday night, Jo and I, (dressed as Pirates) and Teeki and Bolt walked in ‘The Great Conch Republic Parade’. It is the longest parade stretching all the way across the country from ocean to ocean.
We spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday listening to Michael McCloud do his last weekend at Schooner Wharf Bar. Schooner Wharf Webcam - Key West webcam on the Key West Bight . He is retiring and moving to Arizona.
