This Week on the Island 09/20/2020

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather: Last Friday we had Sally parked over us all day.

We got over 10 inches of rain in 24 hours.

Then they showed us the weather map coming up this week.

Meanwhile here in Key West, things are getting back to normal. The bars have been allowed to reopen under the same rules as the restaurants. Only 50 % capacity and 6 feet distances between tables and no one standing or seated at the bar.

Douglas is still running around town with the American flag.

There is a new RUM out that is made with seaweed.

Key West has cancelled lots of events for the rest of the year like Fantasy Fest. The one I will miss is the Zombie Bike Ride.
