This Week on the Island 01/21/2007
'This week on the Island' is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The picture this week is the sail boat races in Key West last week. It is a picture of the picture in the paper Saturday. Sorry it didn't come out very well.
This week I finished 'Skinny Dip' by Carl Hiaasen.
The Weather: Beautiful. In the low 80's during the day and the mid 70's at night. This is why we live here.
We have purchased a new flat screen TV.

The 'Snotty Yatchies' are leaving the island. Most of us are glad to see them go. Someone somewhere must be making a lot of money for the rest of us to put up with this year after year.
The Disney Cruise ship was late getting into the harbor last Sunday. The yatchies were in the channel and would not move. Disney had to blow its ship horn from the reef to the docks to get them to move.
OK, enough about the yatchies. Time for a different subject. Jo had a couple of dental appointments this week. We took the top off the Suzuki and loaded the dogs (Sassi and Wyleigh) and took her to her appointments. The dogs and I went to the dog park and the beach to kill time while we waited for Jo.
Friday night, Tessitore of ESPN, broadcast Friday Night Fights 'Rumble in Paradise III' from Mallory Square. It was a sell out crowd.
