This Week on the Island 11/29/2015
‘This
Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends
about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those
parts that are lies.
Weather:
A cold front moved through with lots of
rain. Beautiful the rest of the week with low humidity sunny skies and fluffy
white clouds.
The book
this week was ‘Crime Almost Pays’ by Tom Corcoran.
This
week was Boca’s 11th birthday so he had a party at Schooner Wharf Bar. He is a
great dog. He had carrot cake with cream cheese icing for the people and bags
of goodies for the other dogs at the bar.
We also
had lots of Christmas Events this week with lights going up around the bight.
The
rebuilding of Caroline Street has finally started at the corner of Caroline and
Williams Street. B.O.’s Fish Wagon is having to put up with lots of noise.
Jo had a
friend at work bring her some Cuban bananas. They are really good. She made
some banana cheese cake for Thanksgiving.
We leave
you this week at South Beach on the Atlantic side of Duval with tourist laying
in the warm winter sun.
Key West
you have got to love it
