This Week on the Island 05/08/2016
‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug
Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week.
Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
Weather:
Another beautiful week. We actually got rain one day as a cold front moved
through. Blue skies, white clouds and calm seas. Nice.
This
week I continued reading ‘Deep Blue’ by Randy Wayne White.
This
week was 'Song Writers Festival' with many activities all over the island.
We also
had Cinco de Mayo.
The
first Saturday of each month we have hazardous waste drop-off. I took over some
old batteries.
I rode
my trike by the new city hall. Move in date has been delayed 2 months and the
project is over budget. Who didn’t expect that?
The
cigar shop on Duval between Fogerty’s and Senor Frog’s has closed.
This was
the Pirates Ball at Schooner.
Key West
you have got to love it
