This Week on the Island 10/01/2023

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather: It is Key West; we are in a tropical zone. Rain in the summer and no rain in the winter. BUT wait, look at Sunday night. The temperature is finally going to drop below 80 degrees.

Move over, 1998

Turns out that in the U.S., 1934 was a bit hotter than 1998. Which matters not a whit for global temperatures, but it's worth reading the story below before the spin machine gears up.
