This Week on the Island 09/15/2019


‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The Weather:  Kind of reminds me of a Jimmy Buffett song, ’All the days are the same here’.
For the people in the Bahamas.
I finished the book I started last week.
The book this week was:
Then I started another book.
This week was 911.
The city wants to swap the dog park land with the county for the homeless shelter land. The county wants to build housing here.
We took a Teeki Kart ride Saturday.
Lazy Way Lane was closed because Land Shark Beer was doing something.
We went to Green Street but couldn’t get to Sloppy Joe’s because it was closed for motor cycles.
So, we rode across the island on Duval Street, but the new park at South Beach was still closed.
We will go back on Sunday to spend some time listening to Michael McCloud.
