This Week on the Island 12/23/2018

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather: Changing daily.

Last week on Tuesday my new tricycle was delivered. I spent most of the week trying to find out why the electronics didn’t work. The company that sold it wanted pictures of me testing everything. I swapped thing from Jo’s trike to my trike to test parts. Everything worked except the battery. It was sent back to them and I am waiting on a new battery.

Last Thursday I went to the Dentist at the VA to have a tooth pulled that had broken off even with the gum. I was concerned but they had no problem getting it out. This is a pic of the sunrise as we crossed the 7-mile bridge headed to Miami.

This week I spent a few days listening to Michael McCloud at Schooner Wharf Bar. Life is good.

We were hit with Gale force winds this week. This is the headlines from the Key West Citizen.

I liked this picture so I am sharing this view of the road to our house.
