This Week on the Island 09/22/2019

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The Weather: Kind of busy out there.
I finished the book I started last week
And then read this week’s book.
At the dog park: Shadow (a giant malamute), Teeki and Shelby (both huskies).
Gingerbread. That is what we call the fancy wood work on the buildings here. It used to show what the owner did for a living. This one has hearts and wine bottles at the top, hearts and spades in the middle, and hearts and whisky bottles at the bottom. Drink and play cards?  Tap picture to enlarge.
They are rebuilding the retaining wall at Conch Republic Seafood.
Teeki hanging out at Captain Tony’s.
Three cruise ships in the harbor. This one at the outer mole.
One at Pier B and one in front of it at Mallory Square.
Talk like a Pirate day.
